چکیده

The bio-flocculation ability of UTEX 2341 was studied for the purpose improving microalgae harvesting efficiency to cut high cost biofuel production. algae cells cultured under heterotrophic and municipal wastewater conditions were found have better self-flocculation ability, with flocculation rates 92% 85% at 2 h, respectively. Moreover, 16 freeze-dried powder samples different stress 0~72% an dosage 35 mg L?1. DIM, DCd1, DT28, L6S stable pH 3~9 temperatures 15~50 °C. For IM, LCd0.6, LMn2, LZn2, decreased or increased respectively temperatures. Though properties eight showed wide differences, their flocculant compositions almost same unknown components occupying large proportions. More studies needed be further carried out reveal mechanisms analyze abilities in practical application, which would conducive future large-scale application method also reduction.

STATISTICAL MEDIA OPTIMIZATION FOR LUTEIN PRODUCTION FROM MICROALGAE Auxenochlorella protothecoides SAG 211-7A

In this study, the heterotrophic production potential of the secondary carotenoid lutein by the green microalgae Auxenochlorella protothecoides SAG 211-7a was investigated. A sequential statistical technique was applied to optimize modified bold’s basal media (MBB) to enhance the lutein production from microalgae Auxenochlorella protothecoides SAG 211-7a. Taguchi orthogonal array method was app...

Industrial Fermentation of Auxenochlorella protothecoides for Production of Biodiesel and Its Application in Vehicle Diesel Engines

Microalgae-derived biodiesel has been regarded as a promising alternative for fossil diesel. However, the commercial production of microalgal biodiesel was halted due to its high cost. Here, we presented a pilot study on the industrial production of algal biodiesel. We began with the heterotrophic cultivation of Auxenochlorella protothecoides in a 60-m(3) fermentor that produced biomass at 3.81...

13C-tracer and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analyses reveal metabolic flux distribution in the oleaginous microalga Chlorella protothecoides.

The green alga Chlorella protothecoides has received considerable attention because it accumulates neutral triacylglycerols, commonly regarded as an ideal feedstock for biodiesel production. In order to gain a better understanding of its metabolism, tracer experiments with [U-(13)C]/[1-(13)C]glucose were performed with heterotrophic growth of C. protothecoides for identifying the metabolic netw...

Phosphoproteome of the Oleaginous Green Alga, Chlorella vulgaris UTEX 395, under Nitrogen-Replete and -Deplete Conditions

The unicellular green alga, Chlorella vulgaris UTEX 395, represents a promising biocatalyst for renewable biofuel production due to its relatively rapid growth rate and high lipid accumulation capacity (Guarnieri et al., 2011, 2012; Gerken et al., 2013; Griffiths et al., 2014; Zuniga et al., 2016). Prior analyses have unveiled the global proteome dynamics of C. vulgaris following nitrogen deple...
